Spray polyurethane foam is a composite material formed by mixing isocyanate (A) and polyol (B) under heat and pressure. When sprayed in their liquid state, chemicals A and B react upon contact to create a solid, light, and fully bonded roofing membrane. Contemporary spray polyurethane foam roofing comes in open-cell and closed-cell varieties. Closed-cell foam is mainly utilized in roofing, whereas open-cell foam is often used for internal insulation and soundproofing.
SPF roofing is sustainable as it can be recoated, reducing waste and addressing landfill concerns.
